IT Technician (Part-Time)

Bega, NSW | 2 days per week or 15hrs as agreed

Tulgeen Disability Services has been providing quality services to people with disabilities in the Bega Valley since 1977. We are a values-driven, for-purpose organisation dedicated to supporting individuals with disability, their families, advocates, and carers.

We are seeking an IT Technician to provide hands-on technical support across our offices and sites. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team and apply your IT expertise in a role with purpose and community impact.

About the Role

As our IT Technician, you will:

  • Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues.

  • Confident in escalating technical support to our external contractor.

  • Work with our external contractor in maintaining and updating operating systems, Microsoft 365, cloud systems, and applications.

  • Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.

  • Monitor security protocols, backups, and assist with data recovery practices.

  • Maintain IT asset registers and support hardware health checks.

  • Work closely with our external contractor who manages and maintains our core network infrastructure.

  • Act as a primary contact with our external contractor and internal employees, managing and ensuring smooth communication and coordination.

This role is part-time (2 days per week or 15hrs per week as agreed), based in our Cooinda Office in Bega, with some work across other Tulgeen sites.

About You

We are looking for someone who has,

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar IT Support Role

  • Demonstrated knowledge of hardware, software, and user support environments

  • Ability to provide responsive, hands-on technical support and escalate issues appropriately

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with staff and contractors

  • Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently

  • Currently hold or willing to obtain a NDIS Workers Check

Desirable Criteria:

  • Formal qualifications in IT or Business

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and cloud-based systems

  • Familiar with IT asset management and security protocols

  • Experience in the non-for-profit or Disability Services Sector
