Lead, manage and coordinate the Resources Stream, including the Workforce Planning Unit, to ensure that efficient and effective workforce planning and rostering services are delivered to the region.
Lead, manage and coordinate the resource readiness functions to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective operational resources, including fleet and equipment.
Develop and implement operationally focused continuous business improvement practices to enhance workforce planning and resource readiness coordination for regional operations.
Communicate and negotiate with operational employees and direct officers to undertake duties at specific locations in line with emerging operational requirements.
Manage regional timesheet processes including collation, authorisation, auditing and associated quality assurance activities in accordance with payroll guidelines.
Provide authoritative advice to QAS managers in relation to the rostering of operational staff.
Provide authoritative advice to supervisors in relation to the approval of staff entitlements such as annual leave, accrued time, sick leave, long service leave and time off in lieu (TOIL).
Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of regional strategic and operational plans, and associated policies and procedures by providing high level workforce planning and management advice.
Assist with the review and analysis of operational policies and practices to ensure they continue to support the needs and legislative requirements of the QAS.
Ensure organisational integrity by maintaining confidentiality and ensuring QAS policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Analyse operational statistical information and prepare schedules and reports on a weekly and monthly basis for the regional management team.
Manage specialised and complex projects in relation to contemporary resource planning and coordination.
Proactively contribute to the QAS operational performance indicators to meet required objectives, milestones and KPIs and to improve business activities and processes.
Participate in staff working committees in relation to best practice resource planning and coordination procedures.
Represent the QAS in consultations, meetings and forums with a broad range of stakeholders including Queensland Health.
Provide operational incident support as directed by the regional accountable manager.
Lead and manage staff in emergency management capability for disasters, major incidents and mass crowd gatherings, in close consultation with the Director Operations - Emergency Management, State Headquarters.
Maintain credentialed scope of clinical practice as approved by the Medical Director and/or Commissioner, QAS.
As a leader, actively demonstrate and promote the QAS's approach of zero tolerance towards violence and commit to supporting those affected by domestic and family violence in accordance with QAS policies and mechanisms. Model and influence a workplace culture of gender equality, respectful relationships, diversity, inclusion, employee safety and support.
