The Role
As a control and instrumentation engineer, you'll ensure reliable performance of process control systems across MGP facilities. This role combines technical problem-solving, compliance oversight and collaboration with engineering and site teams to maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct studies and lead investigations into process control failures and operational breakdowns.
  • Provide technical support for maintenance and operational issues.
  • Develop and implement engineering change packages while ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Coordinate PCS issue resolution between engineering and site teams.
  • Prepare key documents: control philosophy, shutdown hierarchy, and cause-and-effect matrices.
  • Participate in HAZOP and SIL reviews and support facility projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third parties to address long-term maintenance and operability issues.
  • Perform occasional site visits to Moranbah Gas Plant and other locations.

Qualifications And Experience Required

  • Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience in process control systems within oil & gas or similar industries.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory regimes and design standards.
  • Proficiency in control philosophies, shutdown systems, and cause-and-effect analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
