We are seeking a Primary Teacher to fill in a 12-month parental leave post at our Gosford campus starting Term 1, 2026
St Philip's Christian College Dynamic Learning offers a tailored learning program for children and young individuals diagnosed with Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and/or Autism (Level 1 & 2). Description:
FOCUS OF THIS POSITION:
As a teacher within Dynamic Learning College, your primary objective is to meticulously plan, prepare, and execute programs tailored to achieve specific and individual student outcomes.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Working with students with additional needs;
- Qualifications in special and inclusive education preferred;
- Completed appropriate tertiary qualifications alongside NESA Proficient Teacher accreditation or working towards it;
- Demonstrated proficiency in using a variety of teaching strategies to address both individual and collective student needs;
- Ability to foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW:
- Demonstrate the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers in your teaching practice;
- Develop and implement high-quality programs tailored to the class;
- Differentiate and adjust learning activities and assessments to accommodate diverse student needs;
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons based on student requirements;
- Embed Christian content into teaching and learning programs;
- Integrate indigenous content into the curriculum;
- Adhere to the school Assessment and Reporting Policy and Procedures ensuring timely feedback is given to the students, parents and carers;
- Communicate and collaborate regularly with parents, carers and case workers to keep them updated on student progress relating to academic, social and emotional goals and document on TASS;
- Coordinate, facilitate, and write Individual Plan (IP) meetings, with contributions from students, parents/carers, and other members of the wellbeing team;
- Coordinate, facilitate, and write Personalised Learning Pathways (PLPs) for Indigenous students in partnership with their families and communities;
- Engage with the Learning Support team to inform approaches related to student individual learning needs including implementing minimum standards tests;
- Ensure timely program delivery to ensure student progress meets NESA requirements and the College expectations;
- Implement standardised testing and utilise data for informed planning programing;
- Ensure effective delivery of specified educational programs for example Maths Pathways and Spelling Mastery;
- Stay updated with current evidence-informed on technological advancements and educational policies;
- Participate in professional development and school events; including annual mandatory training;
- Support campus initiatives and contribute to the overall educational environment;
- Prioritise student wellbeing and adhere to safety protocols;
- Update class pages on iLearn as per College expectations;
- Take reasonable care of your own health and safety;
- Take reasonable care of the health and safety of others;
- Comply with any reasonable instructions, policies and procedure given by your supervisor
Skills and Experiences:
This position requires a degree and applicable teaching qualifications and relevant experience.
Teaching qualifications must be provided, including NESA accreditation details.
