About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex digital and systems transformation projects. You'll drive delivery across digital platforms, data services, and fraud prevention initiatives, overseeing both internal teams and vendor partners.
You'll join a transformation-focused program delivering ICT capabilities to improve operational performance, reduce risk, and modernise service delivery. The team is outcome-driven and collaborative, working across digital platforms, analytics, identity management, and fraud risk reduction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of major ICT initiatives—from discovery to implementation
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and resource plans
- Align business needs with architectural, security, and technical delivery priorities
- Provide line management and coaching to a small team
- Oversee internal and external delivery teams to meet scope and outcomes
- Contribute to procurement planning and support contract and legal processes
- Drive delivery and reporting through structured governance and status tracking
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and technical teams
- Prepare comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Essential Requirements
- 10+ years of experience managing complex ICT projects (including digital channels, integrations, COTS/SaaS delivery, data & analytics, or fraud prevention systems)
- Recent (2–3 years) experience delivering projects in procurement and working with legal and policy teams
- Strong understanding of project delivery frameworks in both Agile and Waterfall
- Demonstrated ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting at executive level
- Proven team leadership, mentoring, and performance management capability
Desirable
- Exposure to digital accessibility and inclusive design principles
- Experience working with complex or high-integrity systems in government
- Qualifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, SAFe Agile, or related certifications
