The role

We are seeking a motivated and responsible School Bus Driver to join our team at Lighthouse Christian College – Keysborough. As a School Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting our students to and from school each day, ensuring their wellbeing and creating a positive environment on the bus. This is a casual position based in Keysborough, Victoria.

Key responsibilities

  • Safely operating the school bus and ensuring all passengers are properly secured
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the school bus
  • Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Monitoring student behavior and addressing any issues or concerns
  • Providing excellent customer service to students and parents
  • Assisting with loading and unloading of students and their belongings
  • Reporting any incidents or concerns to the Property Manager

What we're looking for

  • A valid heavy vehicle driver's license with a proven safe driving record
  • Experience driving buses or other large vehicles, preferably in a school or educational setting
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain calm and professional demeanor when dealing with students
  • Reliable and punctual with a flexible schedule to accommodate school hours
  • Commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children
  • First aid training or willingness to obtain it
  • A Working with Children Check
