We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Allied Health Assistant looking to join our fun and collaborative team. We are an energetic and versatile team of physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, allied health assistants and administrative staff working together to deliver outstanding services in an environment where patients and families feel welcome, safe and in expert hands.
What we do:
We provide an individualized, person-centered service to a range of neurological and vestibular clients and we are leaders in the field of concussion management which falls within the thriving vestibular service. Our primary location is in Mount Waverley with purpose built rooms in both Mount Waverley and Ivanhoe and consulting rooms in St Kilda. We treat in a large open gym where we create a feeling of community among staff and clients and take pride in assisting them achieve their goals and functional potential. This role will primarily be based at the Mount Waverley location although you will also spend time in Brighton where we provide a physiotherapy service to a day centre for adults with physical and intellectual disability. We also offer a home-based clinical service and so it is a requirement for the applicant to possess a current driver license and have access to a vehicle for this role. As an Allied Health Assistant you will be performing some of the following roles:
- Joint treatments with the clinicians
- Assisting with group classes including: Ataxia group, Running group, Parkinson's group, Balance Group, Fitness Class, Pilates class.
- One on one exercise programs with our patients
- Various administration tasks in the office to facilitate the smooth running of a busy outpatient facility
- Facilitate exercise programs at Bayley House; a service that provides support and opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities. This may include hydrotherapy.

This job is a Full-time time position. We are looking for someone who possesses:
- Friendly and welcoming manner
- Experience assisting in Allied health setting for 2+ years (preferable)
- Relevant qualifications (Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance, Exercise Physiology/Human Movement or similar)
- Experience with the NDIS (desired)
- Quick learner
- Flexible
- Caring and professional attitude
- Honesty, integrity and trustworthy
- Must enjoy working with people and working in a team
