Grade 5 Registered Nurse | Saturday & Sunday 10pm-7.15am

• Availability to commit to both Saturday & Sunday night shifts
• Proven clinical skills and ability to work autonomously overnight
• Current AHPRA registration and Bachelor's degree in nursing, or higher

About the Role

The After-Hours Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and oversight during non-business hours to ensure effective and efficient management of a Residence. You will play a pivotal role in providing compassionate and competent care to Arcare Residents while maintaining a supportive and positive work environment for the care team.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Resident Care: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality and person-centered care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs.
• Staff Supervision: Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers and support staff.
• Care Planning: Overseeing the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences.
• Medication Management: Ensuring proper administration and management of medications for residents, adhering to prescribed schedules and protocols.
• Family Communication: Communicating effectively with residents' families or legal guardians, providing updates on their loved one's condition and involving them in care decisions when appropriate.
• Crisis Management: Handling emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively.

Skills & Experience

• Current AHPRA Registration.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse.
• Grade 5, Registered Nurse.
• Knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience with ANNAC.
• Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting and evaluation documentation.
• Capability to effectively lead and manage a team.
