About the role

Chevron Tavern, a popular local destination on Chevron Island, QLD, is seeking an experienced Bar and Gaming Attendant to join our dynamic team. In this casual role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing the bar and gaming operations within our vibrant establishment.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with speed and efficiency
  • Maintaining a clean and well-organised bar area to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for our patrons
  • Providing friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, including recommending drinks and answering any inquiries
  • Monitoring and maintaining the gaming machines, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Handling cash and transactions accurately, following proper security protocols
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere, fostering a positive customer experience

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a bar or gaming environment, ideally within the hospitality industry
  • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, outgoing personality
  • Demonstrated competence in mixing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with gaming machine operations and compliance procedures
  • Proficient in cash handling and financial transactions
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification and RSG
