About the role

Located in Coorparoo we are seeking disability support workers with a strong background & understanding of behaviours to support our male client in his 30's. You will be assisting our client who has a ABI with all aspects of daily living as well as accessing the community. Client is 2:1 for a majority of shifts. The shifts consist of AM, PM & active ND. Shifts , , x 2 & active ND We are seeking staff to fill the active ND shifts.

Your key responsibilities

Our team is looking for a dedicated and passionate Disability Support Worker who can undertake the following key responsibilities:

  • Manual handling
  • Personal care
  • Continence & bowel management
  • Medication administration
  • Domestic assistance
  • Rehabilitation exercises
  • Behavioural reporting
  • Community access

About you

To join the team, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Previous disability experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Manual handling experience (essential)
  • Personal care experience
  • Current First aid and CPR
  • Yellow card/NDIS Worker Screening Card
  • Manual handling certificate (or willing to obtain)
  • Medication certificate (or willing to obtain)

We are also looking for someone with great communication skills, who works well in a team, has a caring and supportive nature, and is client-focused.
