GenusPlus Group (ASX:GNP) offers specialist services in delivering end to end innovative solutions in many sectors across Australia, specialising in Transmission, Distribution, Substation, Communications & Renewable Energy. We provide an integrated service delivered through four key complementary businesses to our clients in the resources, power, utilities, and telecommunications sectors across Australia. ****Genus Infrastructure is seeking applications from experienced Carpenters to fill roles based in on our major projects across Australia including country region working on HV Powerline Construction work.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:****

  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine materials and project requirements.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials to construct frameworks, fixtures, and structures.
  • Perform repairs and modifications to existing structures as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other tradesman.
  • Provide progress updates to supervisors and address any project challenges.

*Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications:*

  • Relevant trade qualification in Carpentry (Cert III or higher)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Carpentry
  • Demonstrated good safety record and knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety, and familiarity with Australian industry regulations, applicable codes, best practice, and performance standards.
  • White card
  • Dogging / Rigging advantageous.
  • Unrestricted HR licence advantageous
  • First Aid advantageous
  • EWP & working at heights advantageous.
  • Possess high level of analytical ability required to solve complex problems.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work away for up to 2 weeks at a time.

*Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications*

  • Experience within a utilities, resources, or construction industry.
