About the role

We are looking for a passionate part-time Butcher to join our team at Mattys Meats' in Beenleigh, QLD. As a Butcher, you will be responsible for cutting, preparing and packaging high-quality meat products to meet the needs of our customers. This role offers the flexibility of part-time or casual hours, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals seeking a work-life balance.

What you'll be doing

• Cutting, trimming and preparing a variety of meat products, including beef, pork, lamb and poultry
• Packaging and labelling meat products for display and sale
• Providing excellent customer service by offering recommendations and advice on meat selection and preparation
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations
• Assisting with inventory management and stock rotation

What we're looking for

• Experience as a Butcher, with a strong understanding of meat cutting and preparation techniques
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to provide knowledgeable advice to customers
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
• Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety
