Highgate School

Highgate School provides South Australia's first French bilingual/binational program. The school is also an International Baccalaureate School, offering Australian Curriculum across a two-year cycle of banded years levels. We have an additional Intensive English Program. The school is a vibrant mix of staff and students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, in line with a clear vision of developing transferable skills and internationally minded approaches.

What you will do:

• Provide leadership and support for the development, implementation and delivery of the combined Australian/French curriculum at Highgate School
• Work collaboratively with the leadership and relevant staff to monitor and evaluate student progress and the effectiveness of the program
• Lead and support a team of French speaking teachers and BSSOs
• Provide leadership to co-design and deliver professional learning which supports the successful implementation of the French bilingual/binational program.

What you will bring:

• Strong interpersonal skills and bilingual in English and French, having high level oral and written communication skills in both languages
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the French national curriculum and the South Australian Curriculum and effective pedagogical approaches to support bilingual learning
• Experience of successfully leading improvement in a complex and dynamic setting.
