A Fusion of Hospitality and Healthcare Excellence - Accor Heartfelt Care
Pullman Adelaide, part of the Accor Group, is proud to partner with Amplar Health Home Hospital to deliver exceptional care through the Transition Care Service (TCS). As a Chef within this unique collaboration, you'll play a vital role in supporting guest wellbeing by preparing and presenting meals that are not only nourishing but delivered with warmth and professionalism. This is a rare opportunity to bring the heart of hospitality into a healthcare setting—where every dish contributes to the healing journey.
Join a dedicated team within one of Adelaide's premier hotels, where luxury meets compassion and culinary excellence supports recovery.
Job Description
This role reports directly to the Executive Assistant Manager and works in close collaboration with the Executive Chef, Food Services Coordinator, and the Pullman Adelaide culinary and stewarding teams.
As a Chef supporting the Transition Care Service (TCS) at Pullman Adelaide, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals to patients recovering in a hotel-based healthcare setting. This unique position blends culinary excellence with compassionate care, contributing to the wellbeing and recovery of guests through thoughtful food preparation and service.
You'll be actively involved in leading kitchen operations dedicated to TCS—preparing meals, plating with care, and ensuring every dish meets dietary needs, cultural preferences, and food safety standards, all while delivering Pullman's signature hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and cooking of meals for TCS guests, ensuring high-quality food is consistently served
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Food Services Coordinator to plan menus that cater to dietary requirements, preferences, and cultural needs
- Oversee kitchen operations including mise en place, tray setup, stock control, waste management, and food safety protocols
- Ensure meals are beautifully presented and meet all food safety and infection control standards
- Work closely with kitchen, stewarding, and Food Services Coordinator to ensure timely and organized meal delivery
- Communicate effectively with the Food Services Coordinator regarding guest needs, and relay relevant information for seamless service
- Monitor supplies and equipment dedicated to TCS, reporting any malfunctions and coordinating maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations
- Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence and care
- Uphold Pullman Service Standards—every interaction, every detail, every day
Qualifications
You are a hands-on, compassionate culinary professional who thrives where care and hospitality meet. With a calm presence and proactive mindset, you bring warmth and precision to every plate—whether preparing meals for guests or collaborating closely with the culinary and Transition Care Service (TCS) teams. You understand that every detail matters, and your commitment to excellence helps create a safe, welcoming, and healing environment for those on their recovery journey.

- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
