About the Role

We are currently hiring a Cook to join our team.

You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality meals using fresh, local ingredients. You'll be responsible for preparing and presenting dishes to a high standard, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and supporting smooth service during busy periods. If you're passionate about food and thrive in a fast-paced, friendly setting, we'd love to hear from you.

This position is casual, with the potential for additional hours to be picked up during peak periods.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals to a high standard using fresh, local ingredients, while minimising waste and following menu guidelines.
  • Order, receive, and rotate stock efficiently, ensuring quality control and compliance with food safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area, including equipment, surfaces, and floors.
  • Work respectfully and effectively with team members, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Follow all WHS and food safety procedures, including audits, chemical handling, and accurate record-keeping.

About You

  • Previous food safety training and a solid understanding of HACCP principles.
  • Experience in food preparation and cooking, with strong communication and basic budgeting skills.
  • A proactive, respectful team player who takes feedback well and contributes to a positive work environment.
  • Manage time effectively, stay responsive under pressure, and maintain high standards in everything you do.
  • Comfortable with lifting, standing for long periods, and using kitchen equipment and cleaning products safely with PPE.
