Kennel Attendant

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and animal-loving Kennel Attendant to join our team at the Brisbane Pet Motel in Boondall, QLD. As a casual position, this role will involve caring for boarding pets during their stay with us. You will be an integral part of ensuring the health, safety and comfort of our furry guests.

What you'll be doing

• Providing daily care and attention to boarding pets, including feeding, exercising, grooming and cleaning their living areas
• Observing animal behaviour and health, and reporting any concerns to the senior staff
• Maintaining a clean, hygienic and welcoming environment throughout the kennel facilities
• Assisting with the administration of the boarding service, such as check-ins and check-outs
• Adhering to all animal welfare regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working with animals, ideally in a veterinary, grooming or boarding environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to liaise with pet owners
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures rigorously
• A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing the best possible care
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Physical fitness and ability to lift up to 20kg, stand for extended periods and handle animals of all sizes safely
• Eligibility to work in Australia (Australian citizenship, permanent residency or valid work visa)
