The Smug Fig cafe is looking for a Barista 4 days a week including both weekend days. Located in Stones Corner. We are a 90 seater all day brunch menu woth a great reputation for quality coffee and brunch. We use a Slayer, Puqpress and mahlkonig grinders serving Tobys Estate beans. Looking for a barista that can handle working autonomously and in a team.

Experience in high volume coffee making a must. At least 2 years experience is the industry is preferred as well as competent and consistent latte art. Full penalty rates on weekends as well as a competitive week day rate.

Looking for candidates with the following:

  • Great customer service
  • Reliability and Punctuality
  • Good communication skills
  • Speed and consistent coffee making skills
  • Till/ Point of sale experience

The position includes the following responsibilities/ duties:

  • Coffee making
  • General beverage making
  • Cleaning duties
  • POS operations
  • Cash handling
  • Working with others in busy periods on the coffee machine
  • Serving customers
  • Upholding quality and service standards
