PERMANENT PART TIME OR FULL TIME POSITION

South Eastern Private Hospital is proud to present a new exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Social Worker with well-developed interpersonal skills and a commitment to excellence to join our Team

Experiences in inpatient mental health & rehabilitiation settings and working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team would be advantageous. This role will support our patients via individual and group interventions to address different issues, ranging from financial difficulties, unemployment, accommodation, accessing services, carers' support, legal matters, domestic violence, relationship difficulties, etc.

Grade 1 Social Worker with relevant experience in private mental health & rehabilitation inpatient settings will be considered.

South Eastern Private Hospital is a rapidly growing facility which offers a range of services including Rehabilitation, Mental Health, Medical/Oncology, Dialysis and Palliative Care. Our vision is to be the foremost health facility delivering best practice inpatient and outpatient services in the South Eastern Melbourne corridor.   We are easily accessible from Eastlink and Monash Freeway as well as Princes Hwy and Heatherton Rd.

Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience
  • Full membership of an appropriate professional association
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated sound clinical skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Well developed interpersonal skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in working in inpatient mental health setting.
  • Experience in hospital medical and rehabilitation environment
  • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously within a team
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to be adaptable, self-motivated and flexible
