Position Overview:

If you would like to work right opposite one of Australia's best beaches, and are 100% passionate about food and our industry - this is the job for you With a capacity of 400 patrons, The Sandbar is a fast paced venue, particularly through the warmer months

With recent renovations, our kitchen works beautifully and looking for the right individual to lead us going forward.

You will work very closely with Lauren and I, both owner/operators, but will also have the freedom to implement new ideas and strategies for our menu and kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with our head chef to prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to menu specifications.

Ensure food quality and presentation are consistently maintained to the highest standards.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials.

Manage kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and cleanliness.

Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role.

Strong culinary skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.

Food safety certification.
