We are currently seeking applications for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the full tender process from start to finish. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, your performance will be measured on the quality of your tenders, project financial outcomes, and your ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
We value not only technical ability but also the interpersonal skills needed to build trust-based relationships with clients, owners, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities

Review and analyse project documentation provided by clients

Break down drawings and specifications into relevant trade packages

Identify and issue RFQs to preferred suppliers and subcontractors

Manage the complete RFQ process including receipt, evaluation, and selection of quotes

Perform take-offs

Use estimating software to prepare detailed construction estimates

Assist in managing and maintaining the preferred supplier/subcontractor list
-
Develop strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality

Track tender deadlines and ensure submissions are completed on time

Prepare EOIs and full tender submissions

Submit EOIs and tenders via appropriate channels

Attend client meetings and assist in contract negotiations as required
Required Experience & Skills

Proven background in construction estimating

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Trade qualification or relevant tertiary education in construction or engineering is preferred

Strong computer skills and experience with estimating software

Highly motivated with strong attention to detail
