About the role

Mercy Community is seeking a caring Physiotherapist to join our Community Aged Care team. You will be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team under Rockhampton, with your primary base at our clinic in beautiful Yeppoon. This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity, and we welcome applications from both recent graduates and experienced Physiotherapists.

This position is responsible for providing physiotherapy services that enable clients to function as independently as possible and achieve an improved quality of life.

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications + superannuation, with access to generous salary packaging options.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide care for clients or residents in community settings, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Liaise and collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure client health needs are met, including the provision of specialised procedures
  • Plan and review individual and group physiotherapy programs
  • Provide post-hospitalisation review and management of deconditioning
  • Provide short-term rehabilitation after fractures or orthopaedic procedures
  • Provide physiotherapy services to community clients on a referral basis
About you:
  • A tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy with current registration
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • A current Queensland Green Provisional Driver's License or higher
  • AHPRA registration with no conditions or limitations (mandatory)
