Description

The Redpath Group is a leading mining contractor with almost 10,000 employees on projects across the globe. We specialise in shaft sinking, mine development, contract mining, raiseboring, underground construction, engineering & technical services, and specialty services in the mining and construction sectors.

Responsibilities

The Electrical Underground Supervisor will be responsible for managing the department on site and provide support services to the mining department. You will be responsible to manage the workload for the team on installations, break downs, maintenance training of the team, record management and keep strict compliance measures in place of the electrical system.

Qualifications

As an experienced Underground Electrical Supervisor, you will have to demonstrate:

Minimum 5 years underground electrical experience.Ability to work unsupervised.Understanding and knowledge of mobile/electric drills.Understanding and knowledge of underground communication systems - leaky feeder, Wi-Fi and fibre optic.Understanding of current Electrical legislation.Solid interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels.Ability to manage an electrical workforce.Ability to plan - Daily works, short term, and long-term planning.Ability to use to a drawing program (Visio).Solid understanding of Microsoft office programs - Word and Excel.Current Electrical Licence.Electrical Nominee or ability to obtain.High Voltage switching certificate (within 2 years).First Aid Certification (CPR/LVR).C Class Australian Drivers Licence.A valid Working at Heights (or the ability to obtain).Ability to obtain an Electrical license in relevant state.A work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto Consider it done — safely.
