The Contaminated Sites team within the Property and Risk Management directorate is seeking two Field Officers to undertake site inspections across the State with a focus on identify potential contamination and hazards on Crown land.

As a Field Officer, you'll conduct inspections, assess potential contamination and hazards, and complete compliance checks. This role combines desktop research, stakeholder engagement, detailed reporting and fieldwork across metropolitan and regional areas of the state.

These are permanent full-time opportunities. This process may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise within the Department and across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment.
Our Perth office is located in the Perth CBD in a convenient location, above the Perth Underground rail; close to the Wellington Street Bus Station and City CAT services.
To be successful for this position, you need:
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise and professional reports supported by photographic evidence.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using technology, including mobile devices and field-based applications to support operational tasks.
- Experience working with a range of software systems and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new digital platforms
- Demonstrate the behaviours within the leadership context as outlined below.
Core leadership behaviours outlined in Leadership Expectations are applicable to this role and should be demonstrated in the context of Personal Leadership. The Personal Leadership context is about the work of individuals not yet in traditional leadership positions who make a direct and immediate difference to the agency.
