Jadestone Energy is a leading oil and gas development and production company in the Asia Pacific region with a strategy towards acquiring and further developing producing fields. Jadestone Energy currently operates two producing assets off the coast of Western Australia and is currently progressing several acquisitions for additional assets in New Zealand, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Jadestone Energy Australia are currently seeking applications from experienced Maintenance Technicians with Marine Engineering qualifications for a full-time position on the Montara Venture. 

This role is primarily responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing facility machinery and systems in line with our Maintenance Management System.

Key accountabilities of the position are:

  • Operate, monitor, fault-find, isolate, and repair facility equipment and systems.
  • Perform routine and breakdown maintenance tasks, ensuring accurate data entry and job close-out in the MMS.
  • Support modifications and upgrades in line with Management of Change procedures.
  • Conduct sampling, laboratory analysis, boiler water testing, and helicopter fuel testing/refuelling.
  • To participate in Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Toolbox Meetings, HAZID and Formal Safety Assessment (FSA) workshops, Maintenance Department and Facility safety meetings, audits and incident investigations as required.
  • Provide first aid and emergency response as required.
  • Deliver on-the-job training and support to facility personnel.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

  • 4+ years in a similar position
  • FPSO experience (desirable)
  • Boiler/ turbine/ Inert gas operations experience
  • Tanker experience (LNG/ oil desirable)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in and foster a team environment.
  • Strong leadership skills in safety management.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • AMSA Marine Engineer Watchkeeper Certificate of Competency or above (Class 2 or Class 1 Motor or Steam)
  • Current TBOSIET, MSIC and CA-EBS
