With a proven track record delivering challenging projects safely, on time and to a high standard, we are looking for skilled Pipelayer to join our growing team.

About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Pipe Layer with experience in poly welding to join our civil construction team. Initially, the successful candidate will be responsible for laying and jointing PE pipelines on site, including the preparation, welding, and finishing of pipe connections to industry standards, you will be working on a major project requiring poly welding of HDPE pipelines. Once the project is complete, you will continue in your role as a Pipe Layer across our other civil projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and alignment of PE pipe systems.
  • Laying and installing water, sewer, and stormwater pipelines
  • Carrying out electrofusion (EF) welding, butt fusion welding, and extrusion welding on PE pipes and fittings.
  • Ensuring all welds are completed to specification and quality requirements.
  • Reading and interpreting construction drawings and work instructions.
  • Operating and working around plant/equipment safely.
  • Following all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Mandatory Requirements:

Current and valid tickets/licenses for:

  • Electrofusion (EF) welding
  • Butt fusion welding
  • Extrusion welding
  • Demonstrated experience in pipelaying and PE welding on civil or utilities projects.
  • White Card (Construction Induction).
  • Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a site crew.

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Previous experience on water, sewer, or gas infrastructure projects.
  • Confined space and/or working at heights tickets.
  • Excavation safety awareness.
