Remuneration / Salary:

Prime Ag Machinery currently has a vacancy for a Diesel Motor Mechanic.

This is a permanent, full time position, based at 698 Benetook Avenue, Mildura Victoria.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

To qualify for this position, we will require that you have the following –

  • Relevant qualification required for a Diesel Motor Mechanic, AQF Certificate III Mobile

Plant Equipment or Automotive Diesel Engine or equivalent or relevant experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Competency in carrying out the following duties -
  • Carry out service & repairs to tractors & machinery, both in the workshop & on-site in

the field

  • Carry out engine reconditions & transmission overhauls
  • Service, repair & retrofit hydraulic systems (ability to read hydraulic schematics)
  • Carry out electrical fault diagnosis & repairs (ability to read electrical schematics)
  • Operation of diagnostic service equipment & carry out fault diagnosis on tractors &

machinery

  • Fault diagnosis & carry out repairs to air conditioning systems (preferred but not

mandatory)

  • Carry out pre-delivery checks on new tractors & machinery
  • Keep work area clean & tidy & ensure all tools are put away correctly
  • Ensure that a record of all work times are kept & complete job cards for all work

carried out

  • Hold a current driver's license

Remuneration / Salary:

  • $76,515 to $83,200
  • Remuneration will reflect current market conditions and industry award rates. To be discussed with the successful applicant.
