
Vehicle Accessory Fitter

Jackson Motor Company (JMC) has a great opportunity for an experienced, proactive and knowledgeable Accessory Fitter to join the team at our Launceston dealership on a full-time basis.
About the Role:
In this role your main responsibilities will be to efficiently and effectively fit accessories to new and used vehicles, report and document faults and defects, consult with the Fixed Operations Manager on daily job orders, perform a final pre-delivery inspection and report before the vehicle is released to the customer.
The successful applicant will also assist with minor store duties for the Parts Department.

You have the drive to acquire and retain technical data, a strong work ethic, the ability to work unsupervised and a readiness to learn. You are friendly and confident, with a good eye for detail. You are a hands-on kind of person, with the ability to think on your feet and you understand the importance of ensuring your work always meets the highest standard. You have good industry knowledge of automotive parts, basic goods receiving and dispatch procedures.

Vehicle Accessory Fitter – Responsibilities & Tasks
Install vehicle accessories.
Perform basic electrical wiring and troubleshoot accessory-related issues.
Modify or fit accessories to meet customer or vehicle requirements.
Conduct quality checks to ensure safety and proper functionality.
Communicate with customers and team members about work requirements.
Maintain accurate records of installations and any issues.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Skills Needed:
Mechanical and electrical knowledge , attention to detail, ability to read instructions/diagrams, use of tools, and good time management.
Applicants with previous experience as an accessory fitter who are looking to improve their skills will be highly regarded.
You'll need a current manual driver's license, a clean criminal history, and you must pass a pre-employment medical test (including drug and alcohol).
