We're seeking experienced Electricians to join our growing team, preferably holding an existing Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accreditation for either installation, or installation and design of Stand Alone Power Systems (SAPS) or Grid Connected Battery systems (GCBS).

This role is all about delivering high-quality electrical work on off-grid projects — think batteries, inverters, switchboards, and full system integrations that keep remote sites running smoothly.

You'll be supported by an experienced Electricians and a team of apprentices, with safety and quality always at the core of what we do.

The Role

Take the lead in building and commissioning off-grid solar and battery systems. 

You will:

• Supervise and mentor electricians, technicians and apprentices on off-grid solar and battery projects.

• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of PV arrays, inverters, battery energy storage systems and switchboards.

• Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 5033, AS/NZS and AS/NZS 5139, and with WA Electricity (Licensing) Regulations 1991.

• Capture required evidence (photos, "selfies") for STC claims, and lodge Notice of Completion (NOC) and Electrical Safety Certificates (ESC).

• Work with site management and head office on scheduling, stock forecasting and continuous process improvement.

• Visit customer sites, to support Solar Suite's design team and ensure each installation incorporates the customer's individual requirements and their existing grid or generator supplies.

This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for an experienced electrician who enjoys remote work and solving electrical challenges.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Current WA Unrestricted Electrical Licence.

• Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accreditation for Stand-Alone Power Systems (SAPS) – Install Only or Design & Install – and/or Grid-Connected Battery Storage Systems (GCBS) – Install Only or Design & Install.

• Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) accreditation for Stand-Alone Power Systems (SAPS) – Install Only or Design & Install – and/or Grid-Connected Battery Storage Systems (GCBS) – Install Only or Design & Install.Demonstrated experience with off-grid solar, battery storage, inverters and remote electrical installations.

• Proven ability to lead and develop teams and to work safely and independently in remote locations.

• Current Australian driver's licence and unrestricted right to work in Australia.

• Strong problem-solving skills (remote sites = creative sparkies)

• A safety-first mindset and attention to detail

Desirable:

• Geraldton base or surrounds.

• Current CPR/LVR certificate and Working at Heights ticket (or ability to obtain promptly).

• White Card (Construction Induction) and current First Aid certificate.

• Familiarity with commissioning documentation and Small-scale Technology Certificate (STC) processes.
