At Dewdrops Early Learning we strive to provide childcare and kindergarten that nurtures each child's needs and interests, and captures their imagination and willingness to learn. In turn, we feel proud to support families by being part of the community that it takes to raise a child.

Founded in 2007, Dewdrops remains a family owned, boutique early childhood service with four locations: Coburg, Brunswick, Brunswick West and Reservoir. We are a small, yet dynamic team, and proud of our growing reputation as an employer of choice in the early years sector.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Diploma Qualified Educator to work at our Reservoir service. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a great team. We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • A positive and professional outlook, who is willing to learn and grow
  • A passion for early childhood education and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young children
  • A strong understanding of the compliance and operational requirements of an early childhood service
  • Experience in program planning, including an ability to write comprehensive program plans, observations and learning stories, respond to emergent ideas and document play based learning opportunities using Storypark
  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience in early childhood education is required.
  • A current Working with Children Check is required for this position.
  • An understanding of Reggio practices and an ability to create engaging educational experiences for children
  • An ability to connect with, and maintain positive professional relationships with families, children and colleagues
  • Strong communication and administration skills to support the Service Director where needed
  • A willingness to undertake an ongoing open or closing shift as a Responsible Person (operating hours are 7am to 6pm)
