We're looking for a senior research analyst (Executive Director level) to lead UBS's Australian Healthcare equities research team.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Leading research coverage of the Australian Healthcare sector, including developing financial models, writing research reports, building corporate relationships, and interacting with clients.
  2. Managing and mentoring a team of analysts.
  3. Building in-depth knowledge of key companies and subsectors.
  4. Preparing research analysis reports and thematic sector pieces.
  5. Maintaining communication with company management, clients, and internal teams.
  6. Engaging in financial modeling, forecasting, and financial statement analysis.
  7. Leading client marketing activities domestically and internationally.

Our Australian Equities Research team, comprising around 55 professionals, is recognized as Australia's leading team by institutional clients. The team covers small to large companies, macro strategy, economics, and quantitative analysis across Australia and New Zealand. You will lead our Healthcare sector coverage, one of the largest on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years' experience in Equity Research, ideally in Healthcare.
  • Deep knowledge of the Australian or global healthcare sectors.
  • Proven ability to analyze data critically and assess its impact on valuations.
  • Highly analytical, organized, and capable of multitasking under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting recommendations and investment decisions.
  • Competent in financial modeling, research, analysis, and evaluation.
  • Inquisitive, organized, and able to manage a small team.

Role offers location flexibility between UBS offices in Sydney and Melbourne.
