As the Program Manager - Lead Management + Master Data Management program your role is to provide strategic leadership to this program and delivery teams within the supporting workstreams to meet the strategic objectives of the program. The Lead Management Program will uplift our marketing and sales capabilities to nurture prospective students through our digital and physical channels. Master Data Management will implement the foundation for a single record for all prospects, students and lifelong learners at UNSW.
Your main accountabilities will include:
- Lead the technical delivery of complex programs to achieve the business objectives, business benefits & business value. This includes the ongoing management of scope, risks and issues, control, monitor and report end to end program status.
- Foster collaboration among key stakeholders with varying priorities to gain alignment and commitment to the technology strategy and adoption of new solutions.
- Manage key relationships with Program stakeholders, program Sponsor, Steering Committee, Head of Solutions and Senior Business leaders.
- Drive the program and workstream planning and development of plans (tranche and sprint plans) for all workstreams, ensuring alignment of inter-dependencies.
- Drive the technical delivery of the program and manage interdependencies for all workstreams, lead the scrum of scums, manage and own escalations through to resolution.
- Connecting delivery across various squads managed by UNSW and Vendor Agile Project Managers, ensuring that all deliveries are aligned and on track.
- Manage resources effectively, ensuring that each squad has the necessary support and that resource plans are clear.
- Strategically map-out program schedule, timeline, budgets and assist business to secure and manage funding for the planned program of work.
- Proactively identify and escalate potential risks and ensure security is appropriately addressed. Contribute to the development of risk management plans, establishment of risk controls and performance of risk mitigation activities.
- Provide organisational leadership, including developing, managing and engaging teams, driving a strong customer centric culture and healthy engagement within the organisation.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this position you will need to possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent service experience greater than 10 years in Program and Project management.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully leading projects and/or programs using Agile methodologies, managing large, complex projects with multi-function teams.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of both waterfall and agile project management methodologies and techniques, Certifications (SCM, Agile, PMP).
- Exposure to working in large complex environment and proven track record of managing programs of work and experience in dealing with diverse stakeholders and vendors.
- Proven ability to successfully lead the implementation of robust digital strategies to deliver business outcomes and experience with driving technology change.
- Strong analytical skills, effective business planning and budgeting skills with demonstrated experience in strategic and operational planning.
- Proven experience managing vendors to resolve issues as they arise, and ensure vendor deliverables meets agreed standards and terms.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with significant experience in building effective / high performance teams along with developing and retaining staff.
- Superior level of Cloud, SaaS, ERP and Digital technology knowledge and the general technical landscape.
- Experience with implementation of customer relationship management, customer data platform or other marketing technology is highly regarded
- Versatile, results-oriented, with a continuous improvement focus and ability to influence outcomes with both senior leaders and other stakeholders throughout the organisation.
- Strong interpersonal, communication skills including the ability to develop effective relationships and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
