The Opportunity: As the Sales Director, you'll be a driving force in shaping sales processes, maximising team effectiveness, and expanding market presence. You'll provide strategic direction, implement best practices, and mentor a team of Business Development Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and achievement. Your expertise will be critical in identifying new business opportunities, optimising pricing strategies, and managing key customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company revenue and profitability goals.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to a team of Business Development Managers.
Streamline communication and collaboration between sales, operations, and other departments.
Identify and pursue new market opportunities, particularly in underserved regions.
Analyse cost models and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
Manage key customer relationships and ensure brand protection.
Serve as a point of escalation for complex customer issues and conflicts.
Develop and implement sales training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Track and analyse sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management.
Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
Ideal Candidate Profile Proven experience in sales leadership within the building materials industry (high-end architectural products preferred).
Strong understanding of the sales process, from lead generation to closing.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
Architectural background (highly desirable).
Resilient, self-motivated, and results oriented.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Unquestionable integrity and a commitment to ethical business practices.
