This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Lecturer to build on their established achievements in teaching, research, and service, while driving innovation and impact in a rapidly evolving field.
Modern systems and platforms in the Space and Defence sectors are critically dependent on advanced wireless technologies for communications and remote sensing in a contested environment. The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at the University of Queensland (UQ) has solidified its status as a global leader in related Microwave / Millimetre-Wave Engineering. To maintain UQ's global leadership and ensure continuity in this rapidly advancing field, we are seeking a Senior Lecturer (Level C) to play a central role in Critical RF and Antenna Engineering Technologies and strengthen research and teaching within EECS.
Within EECS, you'll find thriving teams driving innovation in Biomedical Imaging Technologies and Engineering; Optics and Photonics; Electromagnetics; Signals Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Human-Centred Computing, Power and Control Engineering, and Data Science. The School fosters a dynamic and inspiring environment for academics, leading advancements at the cutting edge of technology.
Key responsibilities will include :
Teaching : Develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counselling, and adhere to university teaching rules.
Research :
Lead independent or collaborative research to achieve national recognition and impact in RF and Antenna Engineering.
Collaborate with colleagues, students, and industry on joint research and funding applications.
Act as chief investigator in securing and managing external research funding.
Maintain a strong publication record in high-quality international journals and conferences.
Prepare progress reports and participate in regular project meetings.
Initiate and coordinate strategic, externally funded collaborations across UQ, nationally, and internationally.
