**Arborist** - $75,277.56 Per Annum plus super plus penalty rates for overtime - Additional allowance for Climbing Kit Maintenance & Adverse Working Conditions allowance. - Paddington location with onsite parking - 38 hours per week plus a fortnightly rostered day off - flexible work/life balance Fixed term 12 month contract Purpose of the role: - To carry out cost effective maintenance on Council owned trees in parks, streetscapes, including pruning, removal and planting of trees in accordance with the relevant Australian Standards and Council’s adopted Tree Management Policy. - To respond to emergency situations, including failed trees and branches and provide appropriate feedback to Councils Risk Department, with written reports and photos. - To maintain electronic data base to accurately reflect all works undertaken and record responses to service complaints and action requests. - To operate and maintain the necessary plant and equipment, such as chainsaws, EWP, wood chippers and other mechanical plant, to achieve job objectives. - To carry out and record responses to service complaints and action requests. - To ensure workplace health and safety is paramount in all work undertaken. - To carry out any other duties that may be reasonably determined from time to time by the Coordinator or Team Leader. **Essential Criteria** - Certificate III in Arboriculture, or equivalent. - Extensive experience in a similar role with high profile scheduled tree maintenance programs. - Demonstrated ability to contribute to and work as part of a team and coordinate team members as required. - Well-developed communication skills with experience in dealing with the public. - Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work with mínimal supervision. - Proven problem solving skills and a willingness to follow issues through to completion. - Willingness and experience participating in a culture striving for continuous improvement. - Computer literate. - Construction Induction Card. **Applications received after the due date may be considered for similar roles.** ***_"Indigeco Acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and Recognise our Brothers & Sisters Connection to Land, Waters and Community.
