Due to continued business growth, Water Technology requires a **Natural Hazards and Climate Adaptation Consultant, Queensland** to be based in our South Brisbane or Gold Coast office. Here you will join a close-knit team of industry-leading professionals, where staff are truly valued and an open, innovative, and supportive culture is encouraged.

**The role**:
In this role, you will enjoy a variety of work by partnering with local, state and federal government, regulatory authorities, and private organisations.

You will have an opportunity to either lead or support (depending on your background and experience) on a range of projects including:

- natural hazard risk analysis and assessment.
- climate change resilience and adaptation planning.
- floodplain and integrated catchment management.
- coastal hazard adaptation.
- strategic land use planning and policy advisory roles.
- spatial analytics.
- community and stakeholder engagement.

**The right team member will have**:
As an established or emerging leader, you will ideally possess:

- A tertiary planning, environmental science or engineering degree.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ post-graduate experience in planning, environmental science or engineering space (previous consultancy experience is highly desirable).
- A passion for climate change adaptation and resilience planning.
- Excellent project management experience.
- Demonstrated report writing capabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
- An ability to work independently as well as contribute in a team environment.
- High-level industry awareness and engagement.
