Artesian Hospitality are on the lookout for a Handyman to join our team **The Role**: A casual position has become available at Artesian Hospitality for an experienced Handyman with proven experience to work across multiple venues in Fortitude Valley and potential for some work on the Gold Coast as well. Hours will vary week to week depending on business needs. This position would be suited to someone as a second job or someone looking to return to the workforce on a casual basis. The overall functions of this role are: - General handy-person and trade duties - Carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance work - Maintain the presentation of the venues to a high standard - Small plumbing jobs in and around the bars and toilets - Repair basic damages such as broken toilet seats, toilet roll holders, holes in wall, furniture damages etc. - Flexible hours available **To succeed in this role, you will need**: - Previous handyman experience - Own transport - Physically capable of moving equipment - Ability to use Power tools - Plastering experience (sheeting, patching, setting and sanding) (ESSENTIAL) - Painting experience (Ability to French wash is a huge advantage) (ESSENTIAL) - Basic plumbing knowledge (Unblocking drains/ waste pipes, isolating water supplies, tightening/ replacing toilet seats, clearing traps, fixing/ replacing taps) (PREFFERED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL) - Internal carpentry experience (Fixing/ replacing doors, fixing/ replacing handles and locks, fitting architraves/ skirtings/ door jams, Fixing/ fitting stair nosing) (PREFFERED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL) - AV knowledge (Not essential) - Strong time management, organizational and administrative skills including the ability to work autonomously with and without supervision and to manage a wide range of projects and timelines. - Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to think laterally and “outside the box" **The Perks**: - Various discounts across all Artesian Hospitality venues - Career development opportunities in a supportive environment - Immediate start available - Artesian Hospitality is much more than a great place to work - it’s an amazing career opportunity.
