**Your New Role**

As a Road Designer, your role will include:

- **Road Design Using 12D Software**: Develop and refine road designs, alignments, and profiles using 12D modeling software to meet project specifications and standards.
- **Conceptual and Detailed Design**: Create both preliminary and detailed design solutions for urban, rural, and highway road projects.
- **Surface Modeling and Grading**: Generate and manage 3D surface models, earthworks, and grading designs.
- **Drainage Design Integration**: Incorporate stormwater drainage systems into road designs, including culverts, gutters, and swales, ensuring compliance with hydrological requirements.
- **Cross-Section and Pavement Design**: Prepare cross-sectional designs and specify pavement layers, materials, and thicknesses.
- **Design Documentation**: Produce high-quality design documentation, including plans, sections, schedules, and reports, for client approval and construction.
- **Compliance with Standards**: Ensure designs adhere to relevant local and international design codes, safety standards, and regulations.

**What you'll Need to Succeed**

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Civil Design / Engineering consultancy environment
- Bachelor's degree is highly regarded
- Experience working on Australian projects
- Great communication skills and a desire to learn and develop new skills from others
