Chaplain

The Glennie School, located in Toowoomba, Queensland, is seeking a full-time Chaplain to join the team. The Glennie School is an Anglican day and boarding school for girls from Kindergarten to Year 12 with boarding for students from Year 5.

**About the Role**

The Chaplain will provide spiritual leadership, worship, teaching, and pastoral care. The Chaplain will work within the Wellbeing Team and will report to the Director of Wellbeing. Ideally, the Chaplain will also teach RE (0.4 FTE).

The Chaplain will work closely with students, staff, and parents, and be a vital part of the School’s Wellbeing Team.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Communicate and develop the Anglican ethos of The Glennie School.
- Be a warm and wise Christian presence in the life of The Glennie School community.
- Create age-appropriate worship that inspires and nurtures Christian faith across the School.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Work collaboratively in the Wellbeing Team.
- Provide pastoral ministry and spiritual support to teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Organise special school services as needed.
- Teach (lesson plan; deliver; assess; feedback).

**Key requirements for this**R**ole**
- Tertiary qualification in Theology
- Tertiary qualification in Education
- School chaplaincy experience
- Ordained and licenced in the Anglican Church of Australia
- Christ-centred, compassionate, articulate, creative, collaborative, emotionally intelligent
