Our Therapeutic Services team provide counselling to children, young people, adults and their families who have experienced, or may be at risk of, child sexual assault. As a Bravehearts Clinician you will work within an established framework based on the knowledge of best practice principles. You will also ensure you are providing a consistently high standard of counselling to your clients.

The role is permanent part-time worked across a 9 day fortnight and based at our Strathpine office.

**A day in this role may include**:

- Provide professional counselling to children, young people, adults and their non-offending families members
- Conduct assessments with clients throughout the therapeutic process including at the beginning and completion of therapy.
- Maintain accurate and timely recordings of sessions through case notes
- Compile concise and professional reports when required to external bodies
- Concise and professional reporting for external bodies
- Professional development in line with the requirements of the relevant professional body to maintain registration.

**To succeed in this role, you will need**:

- A tertiary qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field is essential.
- Eligible for a Medicare Provider Number and Mental Health Accreditation.
- Registration and/or membership with governing body of profession (Psychologists Registration Board of Queensland, Australian Counselling Association, the Australian Association of Social Work, or Queensland Counselling Association) is essential.
- Experience in providing trauma counselling is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in counselling
