Junior Web Designer

We’re on the hunt for an energetic and creative Junior Web Designer to join our friendly digital agency based in Cleveland QLD (near Brisbane). We’ve just landed several new clients, so this newly created full-time role is for an immediate start.

This is an exciting, fast-paced role where you will be challenged to learn new skills and use your design flair to create awesome websites for our clients. Every day is different - there’s never a dull moment.

Please note: This is an in-person role in Cleveland, NOT a remote role.

**What do you need to be successful?**
- 1+ experience in an agency or qualification in web design
- Experience with WordPress/Shopify is desirable
- Knowledge of CSS and HTML is a plus
- Understanding of design principles and knowledge of the latest digital trends
- Strong attention to detail and a creative flare
- Excellent presentation and communication skills - both written and verbal
- The ability to work in a team environment 
- High ethical standards, excellent time management and self-motivated

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Reporting to our awesome Lead Web Designer, you’ll be undertaking the following tasks:

- End-to-end WordPress website builds with front-end user experience design (CSS)
- Website maintenance and content updates using WordPress, Joomla and Shopify (training provided)
- Assisting with client website and hosting enquiries
- Ensure every client’s brand and style are communicated consistently via all web design elements
- Liaising with our fantastic clients to understand their needs, and ensure all work is reviewed and approved
- This role has a strong focus on web design (rather than web development). It’s one thing to be able to get the content onto the page, but another to make it look amazing

**The Application Process**

Heads up Successful applicants will go through 2 stages of interviewing; a face-to-face in our Cleveland office and then a paid trial day.

**Salary**: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
