About us

Toorak Cellars is equal parts cafe, bottle shop and wine bar. We serve coffee every morning follwed by afternoons and evenings of a constantly changing twenty wines by-the-glass, or customers can open any bottle straight off the shelf.

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Barista to join our team As a Barista at Toorak Cellars, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffees and assisting with wine service when needed. You'll be the first point of contact for our customers, so a positive attitude and excellent customer service are a must.

You will proactively contribute to the smooth running of the venue through the completion of pre service and end of service tasks, stock control, and the maintenance of a welcoming and well presented venue.

You will participate in regular on-the-job training to develop your service skills and coffee/wine knowledge while always striving for continuous improvement across all aspects of your role and venue operations.

Who we are looking for
- Previous experience working as a Barista andn dialing in the coffee machine in a fast paced environement in a venue of a simialr style.
- You have a strong passion for service, coffee and wine, a good understanding of the coffee industry.
- Preivous experience working in wine is a bonus.
- An ability to multi-task and cope in a fast paced environment.
- An ability to work autonomously.
- An ability to build relationships with our team and customers and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
- A genuine desire to learn and expand your knowledge is a must.
