**About the Role**
Are you **passionate about creating** mentally healthy, safe, and supportive workplaces? ? Do you have a strong knowledge of psychosocial hazards and workplace wellbeing strategies? Join **MATES SA**as an** Organisational Health and Wellbeing Consultant** and play a leading role in improving mental health across South Australia’s construction and allied industries.
In this hands-on role, you’ll partner with organisations and worksites to implement the **Blueprint for Better Mental Health and Suicide Prevention**—an evidence-based framework designed to reduce psychosocial hazards and drive meaningful cultural change. This role will report directly to the CEO, MATES in Construction SA and work closely with the MATES SA team and MATES Australia National Blueprint Team.
**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Lead the rollout of the Blueprint framework across SA worksites.
- Conduct audits, deliver training, and facilitate Action Planning Workshops.
- Coordinate People at Work (PAW) surveys and develop tailored wellbeing strategies.
- Support organisations to manage psychosocial risks in line with WHS legislation.
- Engage with stakeholders from site crews to senior leaders to drive cultural change.
- Monitor, evaluate and report on project outcomes and impact.
**What You’ll Bring**
**Essential**:
- Strong knowledge of psychosocial hazards and workplace wellbeing strategies.
- Experience with WHS frameworks and risk management.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills.
- Proven ability to engage and influence across all levels of an organisation.
- A passion for improving workplace culture and mental health outcomes.
- Experience in or understanding of the construction industry.
**Desirable**:
- Familiarity with the Blueprint framework or similar tools (e.g. PAW).
- Mental health qualifications (e.g. Mental Health First Aid, ASIST).
- Experience in project delivery within grant-funded or government-facing contexts.
