**We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic**Junior**Butchery Team Member** to join our Latrobe team on a casual basis**:
As a **Junior**Butchery Team Member**, you'll thrive in our fast-paced environment, supporting the meat room, maintaining displays, and ensuring top-notch service and hygiene. You'll be the go-to for the butchery team when they need assistance

**What you'll do**:

- Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
- Assist senior butchers by completing clean-up tasks
- Assist with meat slicing, packaging, and product displays.
- Operate scales, registers, and other equipment accurately.
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
- Support stocktakes, stock levels and storage organisation.

**What you'll need**:

- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 15kg frequently, 55kg occasionally in line with Australian Work Safe standards).
- Experience with meat handling, slicing, or retail (desirable but not essential).
- Relevant food safety and WH&S knowledge.
- Willingness to handle and cut/slice cold meats, smallgoods, fresh meats and seafood.
- After-school and weekend availability.

Pay rates are set by the General Retail Industry Award. The 2024-25 base hourly pay rates for **level 1 team member adults** are:
Full time & part time
- Weekdays $25.65
- Saturday $32.06
- Sunday $38.48
