**The Business**
Genus Communications are specialists in delivering end to end fibre optic communication network build for its clients. The current list of projects are predominantly being delivered in rural and remote regions of Australia. The potential to be a part of the largest fibre network build across Australia lies within this opportunity.
**The Role**
Genus Communications are seeking expressions of interest for a
**D9/D10**
**Plant Operator** to join our team. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Plant Operator will be responsible for:
- Project delivery in the use of plant equipment in rural and remote locations.
- Driving vehicles and operating plant machinery, maintain relevant licences/qualifications, and assist with maintenance of machinery.
- Installation of Optic Fibre using direct buried plough technique
- Pre rip and laying operations of D9 and D10 respectively
**Essential Requirements/Skills/Qualifications**
- Current High Risk Workers Licence
- Current Excavator Ticket 35t,20t,14t,8t, and 5t
- Crawler Dozer Operator D9,D10 or equivalent.
- Current Truck Licence (HC preferred)
- WHS White Card
- First Aid Certificate with Current CPR
- Good Communication Skills
- Safety and quality focused
- Team Orientated
**Desirable Skills and Qualifications (or willing to obtain)**
- Forklift Licence
- EWP Certificate
