My client is a leading global Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Management (EPCM) company with a strong presence in the oil and gas sector. As they continue to grow and expand our horizons, we are now seeking a talented Piping Drafting Lead to join our dynamic team.

As the Piping Drafting Lead, you will be a pivotal member of our engineering division, responsible for overseeing all aspects of piping drafting activities. Your expertise will be vital in coordinating drafting teams, collaborating with engineers and stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of our projects. You will have the opportunity to showcase your leadership skills while working on exciting oil and gas projects, ranging from exploration to production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise a team of skilled piping drafters, providing guidance and mentorship to enhance their performance and development.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand project requirements and translate them into precise piping drawings and designs.
- Review and approve piping drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in drafting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with project managers to develop schedules and budgets for piping drafting tasks.
- Participate in design reviews, offering valuable insights to optimize project outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
- Extensive experience in piping drafting within the oil and gas sector, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Proficiency in industry-standard drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, PDMS) and a strong understanding of 3D modeling tools.
- Knowledge of international codes and standards related to piping design (ASME, API, etc.).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
