This is a fantastic chance for a compassionate and proactive individual to become a key part of our team. As a part of our interdisciplinary team, your role is to support individuals to identify goals that are important and meaningful to them, provide evidence-based therapy in the community, and build the capacity of the person and their care team to achieve their goals. You will collaborate with our allied health team including physiotherapists, exercise physiologist, dietetics and podiatry practitioners to support you and the participants in your care.

**Your Responsibilities**:
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will:

- Improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities through personalised behaviour support plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including families, caregivers, and other allied health professionals.
- Utilise assessments such as functional behavior analysis to inform individualised support plans.
- Implement strategies and interventions with a focus on holistic wellbeing and strengths.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and ethical guidelines.

- **The Day-To-Day**:_
- Maintain a functioning knowledge and understanding of the various funding streams such as NDIS and Home Care Packages.
- Follow a therapy cycle and complete support planning to map out participant goals.
- Provide person-centered support through coaching, problem-solving, and advocating for your participant’s needs.
- Demonstrate active listening and open communication to formal and informal supports in your participant’s life.
- Efficiently and effectively complete functional assessments to guide your therapy.
- Maintain your calendar autonomously to suit your participants and your life.
- **Qualifications**:_
- Behavior Therapist Requirements & Skills
- Master's degree in psychology, applied behavioral analysis, or related fields
- State license which allows you to practice behavior therapy
- Proven experience providing behavior therapy to patients
- In-depth knowledge on your field
- Great collaborative, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Patience and compassion
- Knowledge on completing data collection
