**Maintenance Fitter/Mechanical Fitter**

**The role**:
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our plastic manufacturing team in Rocklea. Our company specializes in the production of high-quality plastic containers for the food industry. As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all manufacturing equipment and machinery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conducting regular maintenance and repairs on all manufacturing equipment, including injection moulding machines, blow moulding machines, and conveyors.
- Identifying and diagnosing equipment faults and breakdowns and implementing effective solutions.
- Ensuring that all safety and quality standards are maintained, and that all equipment is running to optimal performance.
- Scheduling and performing preventive maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime.
- Maintaining detailed maintenance records and providing regular reports to management.
- Ensuring that all production equipment is in compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Providing support to other departments as required.

**Requirements**:

- Trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working in plastic manufacturing or a related industry.
- Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with other departments.
