**ADD FOR EMPLOYMENT**

**FULL TIME FISHING HANDS**

Pinzone Brothers are looking for Full Time Experienced crewmen (Fishing Hands) to join its fish/Prawn trawl team that operates in the Northern Trawl fishery.

Fishing Vessel “Edward James Fairnie” operating from Newcastle NSW.

**The Role**:
maintain ships' equipment and structures, and catch fish, crustacea and molluscs.

At least one year of relevant experience in deep sea trawl fishing. In some instances, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required for boat specific operations.

**Tasks Include**:

- handling ropes and wires, and operating mooring equipment when berthing and unberthing
- standing lookout watches at sea.
- assisting with loading/unloading of catch using on-board equipment and stowing and securing cargo
- performing routine maintenance and checks on deck equipment, freezer equipment, lifesaving and firefighting appliances
- attaching gear and fastening towing cables to nets
- hauling in fishing gear and removing fish and other marine life
- sorting, bagging and lowering of catch into onboard freezers.
- Net building/mending and associated maintenance.

**Skills and Experience Required**:
To be considered for this opportunity you must have
- A minimum of 1 year experience in deep sea trawl fishing
- Competent net mending and rope splicing capabilities
- Updates to boat specific training provided

**Remuneration**:

- Successful applicants will be paid a minimum of $55,000 p.a. plus superannuation. The employer will make superannuation payments on your behalf in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992.
- A bonus will be paid on a quarterly basis and will be calculated as a percentage of the total fish sales of the vessel.
