Strength and Conditioning Coach

Saint Ignatius’ College is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Strength and Conditioning coaches. You will be a part of vibrant educational community which aims to provide students the opportunity to utilise their talents to make a difference in the community.

In addition to developing innate skills and talents, Riverview’s Co-curriculum Program helps young men to accept success and failure with grace and dignity, to work co-operatively with others and to use the qualities of each to contribute to the greater good of the community. Sport and other co-curricular activities are seen as key agents in the development of the whole person.

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Strength and Conditioning Coaches who are interested in joining our team on a casual basis, with shifts before and after school.

Positions are available at our Senior campus.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Program design in age-appropriate strength and conditioning programs for students in years 9-12 across a range of sports.
- The ability to modify programs based on injuries, athlete needs, or team requirements.
- Program safe and appropriate training loads and progressions based on athlete age, training history, sport demands, and recovery.
- Technical coaching with the ability to teach and correct technique to maximise performance.
- Identify and correct inefficiencies or dysfunctions in fundamental movement patterns.
- Strong knowledge of resistance training, mobility, plyometrics, speed, agility, and conditioning methods.
- Instruct and communicate with student clear and confidently, cueing exercises to students with varying experience levels.
- Ability to communicate in a professional and timely manner.
- Be available for training sessions before and after school.
- Reliable and committed to each session.
- Must have a Degree (in or currently completing) exercise science or equivalent field.
- Level 2 ASCA accreditation, desirable.
- NSW Working with Children Check (Employment Status) essential.
- A current First Aid/CPR certification or be prepared to obtain these prior to employment.
