
Arboriculture Traineeship

This 3-year apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to get your hands dirty and receive paid work outdoors and practical on-the-job training, all whilst studying towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Arboriculture.
In working to attain your Certificate III in Arboriculture you will:
- Trim and chip trees-
- Tree removal-
- Pest and weed control-
- Mulch plants and trees-
- Undertake appropriate climbing techniques-
- Use of relevant machinery including chainsaws and woodchippersWe’re looking for individuals who:
- Enjoy working in the outdoors and working with garden tools-
- Are committed, reliable and hardworking-
- Manage and prioritise time and tasks effectively-
- Work effectively in a team with good communication skills-
- Have a can-do attitude, and display initiative-
- Able to follow directions and work under limited supervisionRole Requirements:
- Provisional or full driver’s licence and own vehicle (required)-
- Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work-
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment, including a drug and alcohol test-
- Previous experience in gardening or similar trade advantageous.
